Bye Bali, Hello Bandung [Bali trip 2013- Day 4]

It was my idea to go home by train from Bandung because my son is into trains!

We have planned to Bandung at afternoon and straight back to Jakarta by train and catch up to be able go home in one day but airlines reschedule the flight on the evening that means we must spent one night in Bandung :-(

That means I must take one day leave from work and also my son from school :-(

Bandung airport called Hussein Sastranegara is small and just few transportation near airport but this is our experience and we enjoyed it :-)

So, we stay one nite at easy breezy Bandung :-)

Bali Trip 2013- Day 3

We were still in Pecatu and we just loves to be here!

Breakfast was delicious and we are able to see doves flying and try to peck our meal :D

After having breakfast, my husband and our son decided to swim in hotel's swimming pool while I lying on sunbead and taking pictures :D

Sun shines so bright that day and we went for lunch, geez I forgot  name of the place.... but that place served Indonesia's tradisional meal (jackfruit with coconut milk, soto, nasi kuning etc) and International meal (steik, french fries etc) with cheap prices :-)

We try to went down town and driving around Kuta and decided to eat fish porridge, in my opinion not to delicious :D

Whoa, time flies! We must go back to Jakarta via Bandung by tommorow evening :-(

I still wanna be here... huhuhuhhuhu....

Bali trip 2013- Day 2

Hello world!

this is our day 2 in Bedugul and sadly we must check out from Pacung Indah and stay at New Kuta Condotel for the rest of our holiday.

We just loves the scenery of Bedugul and also the weather :)

The service in Pacung Indah is quite good, not like other place to stay that serve badly for Indonesian but excellent for foreigners.

After taking breakfast, we check out and straight go to Ubud, our destination is Goa Gajah but it is rainy at that day so we decided to have a lunch first at D' Basket.

D' Basket is recommended by tripadvisor and all menu taste good! I will come back someday and try another restaurant in Ubud :)

It is raining cats and dogs so we straight went to New Kuta Condotel in Pecatu.

Arrived in New Kuta Condotel, we take bath and went to Jimbaran for dinner at the beach!

We choose New Matahari Cafe for our spot and went home with full tummy :D

Bali trip 2013- Day 1

We are back! (Bali trip 2013 Day 1)

Wise man said that, “Once you went to Bali, you will come back again!”

Believe it or not, we are coming back.

This is my 5^th trip to Bali and never get enough!

This time I just travel with my husband and our son.

After years taking my parents and mother in law to Bali, we think that now is our turn to enjoy Bali more… just the three of us :)

We have plan to visit another place years to come, but someday we’ll coming back to Bali.

We did not plan to visit Bali this year because we already have our new year vacation to Jogjakarta, read our journey here

But suddenly a condotel called my husband and give the free voucher for 3N4D at Bali right after we came back from Jogjakarta.

So, we start to calculate the budget!

And found out that we have a spare money that can be used for Bali trip 2013.

We start to search airplane tickets that fit our budget.

Since the budget of accommodation can be substitute for airplane tickets, I plan to go back to Jakarta by train.

That means, we will transit in Bandung because it is the closest city and we are familiar with it.

And this is our story on Day 1 :

We got early flight with Garuda Indonesia Airlines. I remembered that last time I flew with Garuda Indonesia is for a business trip back in 2009 to Surabaya.

A person that very excited about flew with Garuda Indonesia is my 5 years old son :)

And he finished his meal on the plane by himself and told me that for another trip we should fly with Garuda Indonesia again! :D

Well, I told him to study hard and he can fly with this airlines if he has  a good result on his study :)

And keep praying that we will be able to do so :D

Arrived at Ngurah Rai International Airport, we wait for our car rent and eat some ice cream :D

After the car arrived, we went to Sukowati market to buy some souvenirs for Darren's kindergarten teachers.

I found a store near the entrance of  Sukowati market and an old lady sold the souvenirs with cheap price.

We decided to bought some cheap local food called Nasi Jinggo, it taste a bit spicy but delicious and worth the price!

They come in small packaging, so you might have to buy more than one nasi jinggo :)

From Sukowati market we went to Bedugul and having lunch at Bedugul Resto and Hotel.

Bedugul is misty place and almost every afternoon raining, so be prepared if you visit this area.

We have not reserved any hotel  here so after lunch we looked for a hotel.

We finally stay one night in Pacung Indah and the view is great, the  weather is cold :D

Minggu, 10 Maret 2013 yang lalu, saya hadir pada seminar seru yang diselenggarakan oleh ParenThink dan The Urban Mama. Acara itu bertema “Belajar lepas emosi agar bebas bully” di ruang teater Pinisi Edutainment Park, Pasaraya Gedung B lantai 9, Blok M, Jakarta. 

Komnas Perlindungan Anak mencatat ada 139 kasus bullying di lingkungan sekolah selama tahun 2011. Sementara kekerasan fisik yang terjadi di lingkungan rumah tangga tahun 2012 tercatat sebanyak 819 kasus dan kekerasan psikis sebanyak 743 kasus.

Dengan dimoderatori oleh mama cantik Mona Ratuliu serta Toge Aprilianto,M Psi selaku narasumber, banyak hal yang saya peroleh dari seminar ini.

Bullying merupakan tindak kekerasan yang dilakukan untuk menguasai atau mengendalikan orang lain agar tunduk kepada keinginan pelaku, dapat dilakukan secara verbal, mental maupun fisik

Beberapa poin penting yang saya dapatkan:

• Perilaku bully menunjukkan si pelaku belum sanggup menghadapi rasa kecewa, sehingga perasaan terancam secara naluriah membuatnya jadi agresif
• Bullying perlu dipahami sebagai hasil belajar karena tidak ada manusia yang secara alamiah bersifat invasif
• Pelaku bully bukan ancaman karena biasanya mereka juga adalah korban kekerasan
• Bullying dapat diperbaiki melalui aktivitas belajar kecewa karena itulah sumber masalah dalam bullying
• Bullying dapat dihentikan bila pelaku sadar bahwa perilaku itu merugikan dan gagal mencapai apa yang diharapkan lewat bullying

Seminar ini mampu membuat saya berkaca kepada diri sendiri bahwa selama ini terkadang saya “menjajah” anak saya sendiri dengan keharusan dan larangan untuk belajar banyak hal.

Beberapa hal yang gw dapatkan dari seminar ini:

BERMAIN merupakan aktivitas BELAJAR, jadi bebaskan anak untuk bermain bukan belajar di sekolah sejak usia dini.

KUALITAS lebih penting daripada KUANTITAS!

Penting untuk gunakan hal sederhana di sekitar kita untuk membantu anak memahami maksud orangtua.

Gw selalu suka diundang ke seminar-seminar kayak begini karena menjadi orangtua artinya belajar :)

Dan gw mau terus belajar supaya gw bisa menjadi tempat untuk Darren bertanya segala hal :)

My dad, turning 65 years old today :)

Yes, we share same birthday :D

I think this is the way of universe to save my mom's money on celebrate our birthday :)))))

I dedicate this post for my dad, a person that I called papih :)

I remember him as a honest and sincere person I have ever met in my whole life :)

Dad, I proud of you :)

You refused all the facilities from your job when you are young just to stick with your family.

For some people now, what you do is stupidipity but for you, you just want to be closed to mom, Pran and I :)

Family should stick together no matter what, no matter how..... that's what you've been teaching us :)

I pray for you on your birthday, may God always grant you happiness, healthyness and wealthyness!

What a nice problem!

Today, I turn 31 years old!

Thank God that he gave me another year to life, love and laugh :)

Two days before my birthday, I feel uneasy..... specially at work.

It just to complicated to tell and I suppossed to stand still, shut my mouth and respect the one who employed me.

It is hard, I can tell!

But again, my heart tell me to see the other side of this problem I'm facing.

And I can say now, "What a NICE problem!" instead of grumpy :D

God teach me through every people that I met.

Universe is full of surprises!

and I willing to learn every single little thing that matters to me everyday!

Recently, I have been juggling with home, work, and social community without housemaid :D

We have survived more than 6 months without housemaid, and all of us are overwhelmed....

I catch up running again after on and off back in 2012 :D

I hope that I can gain more benefit through running, will update you more in other post!

Well, only God knows my struggles and I believe that he is my provider!

He will make ways to all problems that I had!

He is forever faithful and I am forever grateful :)

Thank you Jesus for everything, for every NICE problem in my life!

He had risen!

It is always a great moment to reflect on life during Good Friday and Easter...

First quarter in 2013, life has given me too much surprises!

But hey, once again I kept grateful (and always will) that with God... I can handle it :)

This year, we celebrate Good Friday totally different :)

Early in the morning, Darren and I accompany my husband to delivered fertilizer, our business.

Yeah, self employed... you just can't rest :p

After that, we picked up my parent to go to swimming pool near their house.

We had a great swimming session, even Darren doesn't want to go home '-_-

The journey continue... we had Good Friday Service at church and Darren fell asleep.

On Sunday, God kept remind me to forgive some people that I have ignored for a while.

Well, slow but sure I try to forgive them.

Jesus had died for my sin and he forgive my violation....

Why should I hold forgiveness? Even God himself give forgiveness to us, sinful person...

Thank you Jesus for remind me that I must reflect your love!

New Year Trip day 2

Today, we prepared to go back to Jakarta but we decided to visit Candi Borobudur first :)

And again, it is a gloomy afternoon when we arrived at Candi Borobudur.

Something interesting is mom and I rent bicycle when we at Candi Prambanan.

We had so much fun unfortunately we didn't take any picture while we rod the bike ;)

Finally the rain is start to pouring and we cannot enjoy Candi Borobudur longer :(

After that we decided to went home to Jakarta.

Thank you God for allowing me to bring my parents to Jogjakarta.

I am forever grateful!
